pulling open the drawer is like pulling open a trap door very suddenly: the floor drops out from under him and he falls right into what is more or less a massive snowglobe. a small island sits at the center of the area, surrounded by a lake that is subtly rounded at the edges like it's his an invisible barrier. there's no obvious walls enclosing the lake and the island, but there is an opalescent sheen much like that of a bubble surrounding the whole space.
though Charon drops right into the shallows on the edge of the island, in knee-deep water, the impact is only surprising and not painful. he is very soaked through though, sorry.
the lake seems calm, clear, and peaceful, though he is welcome to check it out more if he is so inclined. the island holds a bit more to grab one's attention: the small beach right in front of him has lounge chairs, a volleyball court, and a bunch of plastic toys for building sand castles. beyond that is a path that leads up to a large three-story mansion that looks like an odd mix between a private Mediterranean resort and Lily's barn. there's a gate surrounding the mansion, but at the moment it is open for guests. the path leading to the mansion splits and goes around behind it, as well, to what looks like a garden full of tall trees and flowers.]
