Perfect Caregiver and YOU

Here is a whole post just for Han Yoojin's caregiver title because it is simply a lot.

Han Yoojin is an Awakened Hunter, which just sort of means he unlocked his innate abilities as a person and turned them into RPG skills. In addition to some stat increases, hunters get Titles that are tied to specialized skills!

His most important Title, that is, the title that is at the core of his awakening and also his person, is Perfect Caregiver (Legendary). The skill as written in the system reads: "Proof of a Caregiver who has nurtured a strong world-class power. This title's skills affects those who are emotionally influenced by a keyword, "I love you," or derivatives of the same, spoken to them by [Han Yoojin]. Once a target is aware of the keyword's effects, this title's skills become ineffective on them."

However, the system itself is run by people who don't fully know what they're dealing with at all times, either, so the title as written is not...always fully accurate. The essence of the skill at its core is: "A Nurturer, whom a born S-rank Awakened loved; enough to knowingly sacrifice his own life." Everything around that is flexible, which is really funny and also a pain. So let's break it down.

What does "emotionally influenced by a keyword" mean?
In canon, and also for the purposes of RP, that is open to interpretation! If you love him, if you like him, if you have a fondness for him, heck sometimes even if you hate him, it is considered being emotionally influenced. If he says "I love you," and the character has an emotional response to it (usually a positive one, to be fair) then it would be enough to come under his care.

But I don't want my character to be under his Caretaker title!
Yeah that's fine, then we can just say it doesn't work! Easy. I only want do something if it's fun for everyone OOCly, so OOC desires come first.

But I do want my character to be under his Caretaker title!
Hit me up and I am sure we can find a way to make it happen.

Can my character sense that they have been put under his Care?
They cannot! It's just a thing that happens. Even super super super sensitive people don't notice, so it is safe to say that there is no indication when it takes effect. Han Yoojin isn't made aware, either, so if he isn't paying attention someone can slip into his Caretaker book and he'll only find out when he checks it. This has specifically happened to him before and that is how I know it is possible. It is very silly, I am sorry.

Hey I read the webtoon and noticed that the people who come under his care are brainwashed into thinking of him like their most influential caretaker in order to become attached to him, what's up with that? Does that happen to my character?

Nope! Sorry, that's sooooo 600 chapters ago, it is not a thing in his current canonpoint. He still thinks it is, though, so if he asks your character if he reminds them of a guardian figure at any point feel free to just look at him like he's stupid.

Is it true that if a target is aware of the keyword's effects, the title's skills become ineffective on them?
Who knows!

Does this ability just work on humans?

It works on any living thing and some undead things. Humans, monsters, animals, insects, ghosts, inanimate objects that have gained sentience, plants. Please don't ask how it works on plants, I don't know how either, I just know that it does and plants accept it when he tells them he loves them.

So what happens if my character dies while under his Care?
If your character is under his care and dies, the skill Final Thanks (Legendary) automatically activates: "Upon the death of a keyword-influenced target, [Han Yoojin] receives all their abilities (including skills and stats) at double the strength for 7 days. The abilities are easier to use if he had a closer relationship with the target. Alongside the abilities, he also receives the memories of the target that were related to their experiences with/thoughts about him."

Basically, if your character dies while under his care, please let me know! He'll obtain their skills at double the strength for 7 days, and any memories a character has relating to him (in this case I assume it will just be from threads they have had together, but if you think there is something in particular that would come up, feel free to let me know).

So what happens if my character dies and then comes back to life while under his Care?
Once the character is revived, they are no longer under his care and are removed from his Caregiver book. The keywords can be applied again, though.

Wait there's a book?
His Caregiver title comes with a skill that kind of looks like a kindergartner's yearbook that only he can see. It displays 50 target slots that can only be filled by S-class targets; non-S-classes are shown at the bottom of the list.

What does my character get out of this?
The "growth rate" of the any character that comes under his care is boosted by 100% for three days. Powers become stronger the more they are used and "leveling up" abilities happens quicker. Basically, if they're trying to learn something new, they'll pick it up incredibly quickly within those three days. In addition to that, all of Han Yoojin's skills are more effective on them (and it costs him less mana to use them on someone under his care).

You keep switching between calling it Caregiver and Caretaker and Nurturer!
I am very sorry that's just because there are many different translations bopping around and I have read them all. I try to stick with Caregiver.

I have more questions!
Feel free to ask below!
