[the gate surrounding the house is open,so he can walk right up the path to the entrance of the barn mansion unimpeded! the building looks like it used to be one coherent villa, if he bothers to give it a close look; the exterior has been painted over the same white color as Lily's barn, but bits of colorful paint peek through, and the wood panels seem to be stuck on over the stucco of the building. the door doesnt look locked; does he knock or head right in?]
[it's hard to call it completely normal, but nothing looks dangerous. there's a long corridor that opens into a spacious living room that feels slightly too grand for Lethe's personal taste, but welcoming all the same. instead of any standard lighting, the house is lit by spheres of light floating overhead that blink in and out of existence as they move from hallway to living room. the marble floors shimmer with the reflection of the lights above, giving the hallway a faint feeling of being underwater. once they slip into the living room, though, a fluffy rug on the floor helps to dispel that illusion.
the furniture looks normal--there's a pair of sofas and a love seat surrounding a coffee table, and there's a tall window that looks out into a garden in full bloom.
one of the sofas has a tossed pile of blankets where Lethe was obviously just sleeping; he gestures for Charon to take a seat anywhere as he stifles a yawn and tries to shake the sleep away.]
I wasn't expecting company. Would you like anything to drink?
[he looks around in some fascination: none of this is so strange as to be foreign, but seeing it partly juxtaposed with the barn exterior makes it a little more so.
settles on one corner of the cough Lethe was sleeping on though. my guy why is it always the couch]
[maybe it's symbolism!! but when Charon takes a seat he might get a clue: it feels restful to sit on this couch. it isn't an immediate effect, but there is the sense that he's regaining energy as he sits.
instead of going to get any drinks, Lethe squishes onto the couch right up next to Charon. with a wave of his hand some drinks appear on the table--warm tea, coffee, water, juice, and soda]
It's no trouble, see? Pick whatever you'd like. What are you doing here?
I'm trying to think of logistics, though. For Miss Coco, Daffodil had to solve some puzzles and riddles to get her out. And for Naythan we were conscripted into making him a new body. If Rose's priest is just a ghost, then won't they need to make a body? They might ask Ananke to go with again to hold onto the soul.
Re: probably night 62
since it's a dream he leaves them be instead of tidying them aside and heads up to the barn villa thing!

Re: probably night 62
Charon? ...I thought I was still sleeping.

[steps aside and makes a sweeping motion to invite him in]

Re: probably night 62
Thank you.
And...visiting, I think? It wasn't intentional, but it's good to confirm you're sleeping peacefully.
Re: probably night 62
I didn't expect a single command to work that well. I haven't been sleeping for too long, have I?

Re: probably night 62
Re: probably night 62
The group that went out into the ocean returned. Ananke is a small child, though otherwise unharmed.
Re: probably night 62
Re: probably night 62
They have not regressed in memory.
Re: probably night 62
That's what I was worried about. It sounds like Scarab's upbringing was pretty nonexistent. We'd have our hands full.
Re: probably night 62
Re: probably night 62
[very casually wraps an arm around Charon's waist and pulls him halfway into his lap for shameless cuddling]
Did Ananke say if they found anything?
Re: probably night 62
Potentially Rose's priest lost in the mist, but they need to go back to confirm.
And some force in the sea that caused everyone to break into song.
Re: probably night 62
Singing isn't too bad. Compared to the other things we've run into here, that's nothing. But a priest, huh? I thought they were all dead.
Re: probably night 62
Oh, it's probably dead. If that didn't stop Naythan then it might not stop the others, though.

Re: probably night 62
Though it does bring up the question of if our priest's soul is reachable. We've never tried.
