[laughs a little, low in his throat, and presses it gently to Lethe’s lips]

[slides just the tip into his mouth so his tongue can lap up the chocolate, not breaking eye contact]

[cradles Lethe’s cheek with the rest of his hand, eyes hooding]

You’re making me think of a different sort of meal entirely.

[releases his finger when it's clean of chocolate, though there's now a thin coating of saliva on it instead]

I'm just repaying the favor.

[tilts his face up a little to kiss him across the table…]

[his mouth is in a teasing smile as he kisses back, a little rush of delight running through him over doing something as simple as kissing on a date]

he looks pleased when the kiss breaks, in that subtle heavy-eyed way he does sometimes]

You could have brought me lunch in a brown paper bag and it would have been perfect. This was beyond my expectations.

You deserve to have your expectations exceeded one hundred percent of the time.

Only if you're planning to defend yourself. I don't recommend it, but you're welcome to try. I don't mind chasing you down if that's what you find fun.

[gets up from his seat and makes the very bold move of scooting Charon's chair back just enough from the table to sit in his lap and wrap his arms around his neck]

That is my strong recommendation. Your pride might be hurt if you put up your defenses and I break them all down. For romance, it's better if you let me do whatever I want right from the start and just give me...feedback. If there's something you dislike.

[gently plaintive, clearly in a joking way, arms coming up around him]
