I said I would ask if you would help. Rose likely has enough offense to deal with him, but your supportive skills would lend an extra edge in pinning him down and getting a handle on his spells.
My Rune might also create a synergistic support effect, and your additional strength when acting to protect a Lily as well. But if they do need to enter the mist...I am not sure if it balances. I am relatively defenseless, in a combat situation where I cannot hide.
I might be able to help lure him to us; I'm not confident, but it's worth a try. After the latest excursions into the mist...I honestly don't think it's a good idea for us to go in there either. Every single beast is probably riled up and ready to take a bite at us. It doesn't sound like any of our stealth or camouflage will last us long if abilities can turn off in there at any time. I don't want to risk more people getting lost or turning into werewolves in the process. If we do a rescue, we do it smart.
I think the first was just to see what was to be found, though they did get a little wolfsbane and confirmed the necessity of a Weed to guide, at the least. And the Wolf King's presence.
The second, though, I am not really sure. Simply more information, I suppose.
...It's not like we can stop them from going in there, but seriously...what the heck. I feel like I need to teach them how to make a plan before going into unknown territory.
If it is too much, you can always ask someone else to talk to him. I know you won't, but I'm saying it out loud so that you're forced to at least consider it as an option.
Frankly, in that scenario, I would feel worst for the middleman.
It's not...
I don't hate him for it, or find his presence intolerable. Others on Lily like him well enough, he is often caught up in the same endeavors we are, and I respect that.
But it's not a hard price to pay to try to keep a full flock from being lost to the forces that ring this place. When he is as invested in the outcome as we are, or more, and thus would be disinclined to commit the same offense.
[hops off his bed to go dig through one of the book piles and pull out like 3 books on magic from Aides's world to hand over]
These ones are out of my league. I was hoping to find something regarding fae magic, specifically, but I couldn't make it through the first few chapters. If you find anything on fae magic or dream magic, flag it. Or anything about "ideal worlds".
Re: night 26
If Shadow Fiend can at least track him, then I think we can lure him towards the fence. Once he's in the pasture he'll be easier to subdue.

Re: night 26
[ah]
Do any of your abilities manifest as darkness, or shadow? It seems like that can be particularly nasty in its unpredictability.
Re: night 26
...There was a second trip after the first one?
Re: night 26
They intend to make the third the day after tomorrow, potentially.

Re: night 26
They did have some kind of a plan. In retrospect, I should have tried to stop Blood Fiend when I heard of the intention for a second trip, though.
Re: night 26
It's not your responsibility to try and stop them. Especially when you're not really talking to Blood Fiend.
[raises an eyebrow at him as if to confirm that he is indeed not really talking to Blood Fiend]
Re: night 26
I only spoke to him when he offered to do so in Rose barn, which is warded against psychic influencing.
Re: night 26
[pauses, for half a beat]
Surprised is the wrong word. What I meant is...don't push yourself.

I just no longer trust him.

[shrugs a little]
If you're fine then I won't worry about it. I just wanted to make sure you are fine.
Re: night 26
I am fine, I promise.

You can give me some stuffy books to read.
