Well now I'm feeling a lot of pressure and won't even have the pleasure of knowing I got to share my sincere feelings with you. Okay I'm all focused up, give it your best shot.
[100% focusing in on all of his petty anger and resentment, which is very easy to do right now]
If you want me to understand your sincere feelings you'll just have to use words instead.
[teasing, but clearly more focused on getting this task done atm.
with his eyes closed, Eugene probably can't see this, but what happens next is Shura opens his hand and a stream of electric blue energy begins to flow from Eugene into it, gathering and tightening up into a round piece of hard candy.
what Eugene can feel, as this happens, is all of that anger and resentment begin to drain from him. before he realizes it's all gone, and no matter what he thinks about, no matter how much he tries, he can't feel mad at all anymore. it's like a wet match that won't light up]
[NOMS THE CANDY. then he turns over his hand and the same blue energy that was pooling there before begins to flow out and gather in front of them until it materializes into...
I cannot do it without permission, actually. But it can still be upsetting to have an emotion go missing like that, especially if it's something that you believe makes you... who you are.
[he'll be helping Frost onto the back of the cart]
Why would it be unnerving if you agreed to it...I just don't understand some people.
[reaches back to keep one hand hovering by Frost to grab him if he falls (or more likely tries to roll) out of the cart]
I don't feel like I'm especially in touch with my own. No more than the average person. But I know what I'm not willing to give up for temporary convenience.
I know that. Well...I want to say I wouldn't give up something important no matter what. And maybe that's true. But the most important thing is your life, you know? You can't get that back once it's gone. So in the moment I'd probably give up an important emotion.
I'd rather you not hold onto it longer than you need to. But if there are other people who need to be transported around, then you're free to hold onto it for a few hours. It's more efficient to keep the transportation than you have than have to make another one with someone else's emotions, right?

It's more effective if you focus on a strong feeling—something that's vivid and easy to evoke.

[really long pause as he tries to think of an emotion he's fine letting someone borrow for a bit
ok got it]
Okay, got it.

Please close your eyes and focus on that emotion. Feel it with as much intensity as you can.

he gets too distracted to tease back, too surprised by feeling his anger just vanish]
Neat trick.

Besides, you're really helping me out here.

I see.
[he supposes he will ride his ex’s angry resentment to the healing pools. this is much easier when it is not literally contained in his ex’s body]

[helps Frost too, from where he's sitting. this is simply the best he can do]
I picked an emotion that was easy to access but wouldn't hurt to be gone. I wouldn't give away something fundamental, even temporarily.

[after helping Frost get comfortable on the golf cart, he gets on the driver's seat and starts driving them to the pools]
I'd say your strategy wasn't bad, but not everyone has the time or clarity of mind to think things through.
And there's also people who aren't quite in touch with their own emotions.

You understand, then. In the heat of the moment, and while faced with a dangerous threat, it's easier to reach for emotions that hold a lot of weight.
And even outside of those situations... mm, some people make discoveries about themselves after having those feelings returned.
