[Lethe quietly removes the baby bunnies from Charon's back and sets them near a tree with mama bunny; the rabbits all seem content to just sleep there while Lethe and Charon do their thing

he basically signs the equivalent of 'grab the whole nest?']

['how many do you want?']

[holds up one finger with an air of uncertainty???? he didn't think about this, he doesn't know]

[he shrugs and just nods; they can grab one egg before the mother comes back, surely]

[she might not even notice just one is missing anyways!

he does another check and signals 'cost clear?'; Charon has the dragon senses at the moment, so Lethe trusts that more than his own eyesight]

[he lifts his head to scent into the wind again, the crest of feathers on his head raised, all eyes fully open, alert

then nods. go go go]

[as soon as he gets the signal his wings snap fully open and he zips up into the air; he vanishes when he gets closer to the tree, though Charon can still tell where he is if he uses his shepherd tracking.

the stealth drops when he lands back next to Charon with a metal egg in his hand, which he holds up for Charon to see]

[jerks his head towards the treeline, GO GO GO GO

Lethe can hear the meatllic squawk of the scister mother coming back, not too far off]

ZIPS BACK TO THE TREELINE and scoops up the rabbit bag from where they safely left it so he can just tuck the egg in with the buns. it is not a smooth exit but it is a fast one.]

they have successfully emerged from BABY ACQUISITION TRIP]

[charon isn't telling him to stop!!!!! he takes that big scaley face in his hands and rubs at a spot near his ears that he knows is soothing. and then kisses his forehead while he's at it]

[hey??? what is happening

makes a tiny grumbly interrogative noise at this point, even as the feather crest on his head relaxes from being pet]
