[blinks a few times, stymied by the onslaught of thoughts as he locks on to them
then there's a flicker of mischief, an undeniable impression of maybe if I mess with him enough he'll forget to be guarded and I'll be able to hear everythin' before he's trying to close the distance between them again, getting up in Yue's space as he tries to rummage through his bag]
Ya don't have to fix it. Just think about somethin' else.
[he senses that mischief and takes a step back instantly, responding with a low-key sense of being in danger but then also mild annoyance that Lea has to make it difficult]
Get in the bath and I will.
[still trying to get his notepad and pen out of his bag]
[ugh fine shucks off every layer of clothes and then climbs into the healing pool. the priority in his mind is still "get two working hands again" so this doesn't go against his desires]
[he has what he needed out now, so he uses his free hand to take Lea's toolbox and leaves it somewhere far away enough from the tubs that it's safe.
then pushes Lea to start walking towards the water if he hasn't, yet.]
You are the one who's no fun most of the time. It's my turn to be the responsible one, deal with it.
[sits down on the floor by the edge of the pool and taps his pen to his lips a couple of times before he starts writing, hand swooshing across the pages as quickly as his thoughts:
Yue of Siren's Melodies agrees not to experience, express or in any way show any unpleasant or negative emotions, thoughts, or experiences (such as: worry, concern, fear, nervousness, anxiety, anger, stress, frustration, disappointement, sadness, upset, hurt, disapproval, dislike, tiredness, sleepiness, boredom, disinterest—
it's like a script he knows by heart and it just flows out naturally, but halfway through he pauses, seemingly realizing what he's doing, and grumbles as he starts crossing some of those out.]
[lets himself be pushed towards the pool, and even steps in it, letting his useless arm dangle in the water so it heals up. but when he catches what Yue is writing he reaches out for his paper, expression and emotions stormy]
[stay in the water, Lea!!! yes, he is actually thinking that]
Mm. Like I said, it's not a big deal and actually pretty useful a lot of the time, but you're not going to agree.
[gets drafting. this one has both of their names and Families on it so that they can still make use of the healing benefits of the pools but without being able to actually parse the other's emotions or thoughts]
[pauses. further elaborates in long-winded legalese that they shouldn't be able to parse the other's thoughts of emotions that are being broadcasted as a consequence of the place they're in, but other thoughts and emotions should be perceived like normal.]
[he is already thinking of all the terrible things he is going to do to Yue. like make him talk about his feelings and express emotions in a healthy manner while cuddling in the healing pools and there will magically be snacks that he has pulled out of his toolbox at some point because he's so hungry--
[the moment that's done, he shoves the paper aside and just collapses and oozes on the floor in relief. the way it seems to work is that there's still a low-key "something" that can be sensed from the other party, but it's all fuzzy static. feelings and thoughts are happening, but they're too diffuse to be discernible as anything that could make sense]
[...lifts his arms (but literally lifting his useless arm with his good one) to make it easier for Yue; his layers of clothes are very typical Forge layers of like, a thin long-sleeved shirt, a normal shirt on top of that, some kind of flannel button-up shirt that's never actually buttoned up, a zip-up hoodie, and a bigger jacket with lots of pockets to stuff things into. the jackets and flannel are very easy to just slip off of him while he's cooperating]

Re: YUE
Yer no fun...

Re: YUE
Hey, none of that.
Re: YUE
—It's fine. It'll only be valid while we're in here.
[looks at Lea now in the pool, doing a double take]
Get in there properly. Take off your clothes. Relax.
[he can sense Lea's moodiness but that's fine, he's a little frustrated himself right now so they're even]
Re: YUE
I don't want ya doin' that. Not for me.
Re: YUE
I, myself, also happen to think it's a pain.
I'll nullify the effects for both of us, then.
[starts a new contract]
Re: YUE
[he looks like he's just waiting for the contract to get within arm's reach so he can snatch it]
Re: YUE

Re: YUE
Yer right, I don't agree. I'd rather hear all yer thoughts than have ya messin' with yer emotions.
Re: YUE
Also I'm not kissing your ass.
[pauses. further elaborates in long-winded legalese that they shouldn't be able to parse the other's thoughts of emotions that are being broadcasted as a consequence of the place they're in, but other thoughts and emotions should be perceived like normal.]
Re: YUE
Re: YUE
[removes one of his earrings and uses it to prick his finger, pressing the bloodied tip to the bottom of the contract.]
Your hand, please.
[scoots closer to the edge]
Re: YUE
holds out his hand]
Re: YUE
pricks his index finger too and, unless Lea decides to misbehave, he's also pressing that to the paper to sign it.]
Re: YUE
Re: YUE
... Good enough, I guess.
Re: YUE
Re: YUE
How's your arm?
Re: YUE
[looks down at the arm that's like. slowly regrowing bones inside of it and like reinflating muscle. looks weird.]
seen better days. But it's gettin' better.
Re: YUE
Still not gonna strip? You look silly like that.
And come closer.
[taps the surface of the water with his hand as if it were a couch you want someone to sit in]
Re: YUE
It's hard to strip with only one workin' hand.
Re: YUE
Wait.
[moves to drape over his shoulders from behind and starts undoing whatever Lea's topmost layer happens to be currently]
